As a matter of fact, medical health professionals are more confident and comfortable in allowing their patients to understand their condition and teach them ways on how to treat and prevent the problem from coming back. 

As these patient education models are being taken advantage, they become assistants to most health professionals. Or do they?

Most of the time, patients only visit their chiropractor, doctor, and other health care professionals whenever they feel pain or perhaps, they could no longer take the pain. You have to remember that pain is an indicator that something is wrong with your body. The nerves could be having a hard time in delivering the message to your brain and the different parts of your body and back. Remember how you have defined the spine. This houses the nerves connecting to your central nervous system. And the moment you feel pain, this only determines something has been wrong. Showing the anatomical spine model to a patient will allow him/her to truly understand what his/her spine is and how to value and keep it healthy. In short, the model enabled the patient to understand what his/her condition is. At this point, medical professionals are now ready to treat the pain.

Again, your patients do not know much about the medical terms. So, in order to fill this communication gap and allow your patients understand, it is wise to give them the opportunity to visualize what you have to explain. A realistic and accurate model would enhance your patient's knowledge with regard to his/her condition. Thereby, he/she would be able to start working his/her way to prevent the condition from getting worse.
